The SportDOG In-Ground Fence Systems deliver a correction through two contact points that touch yours dog's neck if it tries to cross the boundary wire you install. Any correction from the receiver includes a vibration for additional behavior control. You can customize the level of correction to match your Dog's temperament and the adjustable collar allows you to create a perfect fit for your Dog.

The SDF-100 sytems include 1000 feet of wire and 100 flags. The coverage area can be expanded up to 100 acres with the purchase of additional wire and flags. The systems can also be expanded to handle any number of Dogs with the purchase of additional receivers available separately. The collar receiver is sized for Dogs over 30 lbs.

Installation is as simple as installing the wire around the perimeter and plugging in the transmitter with the included adapter. Your dog wears a collar that receives a signal from the wire if he ventures too close to the perimeter.

Follow the included training instructions to get your dog aquainted with his new boundaries and your dog will be staying safe at home in no time. The design of your system is limited only by your needs and can be configured in a number of ways to fit your property. Bury the boundary wire underground approximately 3-4 inches deep OR in areas with little traffic, the wire can be placed on the top of the ground and held in place with sod staples. Using your own design, you can protect your flower and seedbeds, shrubs, trees and even swimming pools. The transmitter has lightning protection built right in.

Wire Options For Underground Fences

Our underground fence systems have two wire options, a standard 20 gauge stranded copper wire for typical installations and a heavy-duty, heavy jacketed, single strand wire for added strength and reliability! If you are interested in our extra heavy duty wire upgrade, look for models with the black wire spool in the picture or a "Heavy-Duty Wire" description.

We recommend using the wire upgrade if you are installing above ground or in rocky soil, have a lot of fast growing tree roots or just want the added security of an extra heavy duty wire. Our heavy duty 18 gauge wire single strand copper wire is a specialty product and cannot be found in pet or hardware stores.
