I would recommend this product to any dog owner that has a dog that needs a little extra help training. I have 2 Pitbull mixes that are stubborn and these collars worked in the first 5 minutes of wearing them...and that was using either the warning tone or a shock at level 1 (which I tested on myself first). This is a great product...i purchased one for each dog. Dan R.

I have only had this for a day so I can not sa anything about battery life or how it holds up in rain but as far as how well it works with my dog........WOW...... We have a 4 year old boxer that is extremely hyper and likes to run off. She won't stop running until she is tired or she sees someone else to go up to. With this collar, within minutes, she was sticking around the house and not trying to run the neighborhood. As far as the power goes..... I would say it is pretty powerful. You aren't supposed to shock them till the point to where they yelp but just trying to find her recognition level she yelped at level 4 and i use a level 3 to correct her. She is alost 60 pounds and she seems happier being able to run around and play with the kids in the yard without being tied up. I am very pleased with it so far and am glad I paid the money for it. The price was good and I was hoping I wouldn't have to take it back and get one of the collars that were close to $200.

This product worked for me within 5 minutes! My stubborn dog realized right away that my voice commands needed to be heeded. He just needed a little reinforcement to pay attention to when I tell him to come, sit, no, etc. Over a two week period I have almost come to the point where I don't need the collar any longer. Although I was hesitant at first and had heard a lot of negative comments from friends about not using such a collar (it's not humane...etc) I realize now its the only way to make sure my dog and I have a happy and successful relationship together. Now I don't get frustrated and he gets lots of praise for doing the right thing.

I would just like to say "Thank you Sportdog shock collar". We have a 9 month old great dane who is beyond stubborn. I knew he was smart, he just needed a little more help with the obedience training. We have had this collar a week and can see a change in his behavior. He no longers runs out of the yard when we take him out. It is great! Within the first day he had already associated the beep with the collar (he knew what came after the beep and he did not like it). Now we hardly have to use the shock, when he hears that beep he immediately stops and goes lay down. This has definitely been a great investment and great product!
