You can keep your dog's misbehaviors to a minimum with the PetSafe Venture Series Big Dog remote trainer. The Big Dog remote trainer is a static stimulation dog training system. With consistent training, you can teach your pet to follow basic to advanced commands.

This system comes with a waterproof receiver and transmitter. Both are rechargeable within 3 to 4 hours and have a battery life up to 60 hours. The adjustable receiver is comfortable, stylish and can be worn by dogs 40 lbs or larger. When used in conjunction with the Venture Series Big Dog transmitter, you can supervise your dog up to 1000 yards away.

The Venture Series transmitter is small and easy to handle. The digital display shows you the level of stimulation, which dog is affected and the amount of power available. You can have up to 2 dogs on this system at one time (additional receiver sold separately). There is a tone only and 8 stimulation levels. A static correction is similar to what you feel when you drag you feet across a carpet. This remote trainer also features a "+2 boost" button. If your dog gets distracted during training, hit the "+2 boost" button and your pet will receive a stimulation 2 levels above the current intensity.

This Big Dog Remote Trainer can be used with all PetSafe Venture Series products including the Little Dog remote collar and the Long Range remote collar. One Year Warranty.

This product changed our lives! We have two dogs, one of which is very prey driven. Her recall was great until she saw a squirrel and neither were at a point we felt comfortable letting them off in big unenclosed areas. When we bought our collars, we balanced the corrections with A LOT of positive reinforcement when they listened and really focused on putting them in situations where they were guaranteed to succeed to build up their listening skills and confidence before testing them out in truly unenclosed areas. Now we go to the beach, hiking, everywhere and they're incredible! Some places they don't need it, but in new places or when we're on a big hike they still wear them, just in case they need a correction but I never fear them running away. The only issue I've had is sometimes the husky doesn't feel the corrections so it was suggested I part his fur each time so I'll have to try that. For our dogs, this product was a great fit!

I have an older version of these collars that I use with my doberman while hiking in the woods of Vermont. It is good for 3/4 of a mile which I need for her as she will cover much more distance than I will hike as she runs through the underbrush and woods. With 8 levels of correction, she responds promptly as long as I remember to keep the batteries charged. With her short hair, I've had no problem with the contacts on her neck. Usually the correction level is set at 2. The only issue that I have had is the plastic antenna on the transmitter keeps breaking. I wish it was a flexible antenna or at least replaceable. The Customer Service department has been very willing to send me a replacement for a nominal charge. Still a pain in the butt to be down for a few days. The collar has definately enhanced our daily hikes!

Love this collar works very well on my Rhodesian Ridgeback He was a wild crazy thing before. People are still afraid of him but I think with more work he will be fine. Thank you soooooo much

Within one half hour my dog had a complete change in atitude and became a follower of commands. Amazing results. Within a couple more training sessions all that was needed was the tone signal. Now she has become a buddy whereas before she was a maniac. Recommend getting one of these. Prior to getting one we had thoughts to give the dog away. Not anymore!

the training collar worked great for the first 10 months but then the buttons on the remote started malfunctioning and then a few months after that the on\off button on the collar quit working.
