PetSafe Training and Dog Fence Systems

Keep your dog in your yard and train him not to dig, bark, or chew. This system works with the Deluxe Ultralight Programmable Receiver, Ultralight Receiver or Stubborn Dog Programmable Receiver made by PetSafe® (The Instant Fence Receiver is not compatible with this system). No changing collars, no switching modes on the receiver when you want to switch to the remote trainer mode. Remote trainer works anywhere in your yard. The remote features correction and beep-only buttons. The remote feature of this system works on systems up to 1200 ft. of boundary wire (approx. 2 acres).

How the PetSafe Radio Fence Plus Works

The transmitter sends a radio signal to a receiver on your dog's collar. The signal is transmitted through a wire, which is placed along the boundaries you want to establish. The wire is really an antenna that carries the signal. The receiver provides a warning beep as your dog approaches the wire. If he starts to cross the wire, he will receive a mild correction. Although the correction is harmless, it will dissuade him from continuing.

The remote training function has a negative tone without correction and a negative tone with correction. After a few corrections, your dog will associate the tone with the correction. This makes the remote trainer one of the most humane trainers available because soon all you will need to correct your dog is the negative tone.

Radio Fence® offers the flexibility you need to solve your installation problems. Bury the boundary wire underground approximately 3-4 inches deep OR in areas with little traffic, the wire can be placed on the top of the ground and held in place with sod staples. Using your own design, you can protect your flower and seedbeds, shrubs, trees and even swimming pools. With PetSafe there are almost endless ways of installing a system. The PetSafe Radio Fence Plus cannot be used with a double loop.

Wire Options For Underground Fences Our underground fence systems have two wire options, a standard 20 gauge stranded copper wire for typical installations or a PROFESSIONAL GRADE 18 gauge heavy-duty, heavy jacketed, single strand thicker wire for added strength and reliability! If you are interested in our PROFESSIONAL GRADE heavy duty wire upgrade, look for models with the black wire spool in the picture or a "Heavy-Duty Wire" description. We recommend using the wire upgrade if you are installing above ground or in rocky soil, have a lot of fast growing tree roots or just want the added security of an extra heavy duty wire. Our PROFESSIONAL GRADE heavy duty 18 gauge single strand copper wire is a specialty product and cannot be found in pet or hardware stores.

The Radio Fence® Plus Kit includes transmitter, receiver, 500 feet of boundary wire and 50 boundary flags (enough to enclose 1/4 acre), and an instructional manual covering system installation and pet training. Additional wire and flags are available for larger areas. This system works in the training mode with a maximum of 1200 ft. of boundary wire. The dog must be within the boundary during training.

It uses the standard Radio Fence containment receiver! No changing collars, no switching modes on the receiver when you want to switch to the remote trainer mode. Radio Fence® makes it easy to train your pet. By spending just 15 minutes a day working with your pet, he can be fully trained in less than two weeks. You can contain as many dogs as you want on the same system, as long as they are each wearing a receiver collar. Additional receivers are available if your have more than one dog. During training, if you have more than one dog, you will need to remove the receiver from all other dogs on the system.
