If you are tired of your cat jumping up on the countertop or your dog going into your room and chewing up shoes, you will love the PetSafe ScatMat. The ScatMat is a safe indoor training device you can set up anywhere you don't want your dog or cat to go. This quick and easy device uses one 9-volt battery. Insert the battery into the power pack, attach the power pack to the ScatMat and turn it on. Now you are ready to train your pet on the areas that are off limits to him. You can place this mat on your countertop, chairs and tables, in front of doorways and by the Christmas tree and other holiday decorations. When your pet steps on the mat, he or she will get a mild static shock, similar to what you would get when shuffling across a carpet. In time your pet will learn what areas are prohibited.

One 9-volt battery can handle up to 10,000 activations or 6 months of usage. A wall adapter is available for purchase, along with ScatMat extensions to protect a larger area.

The ScatMat has three settings:

• Low - kittens
• Medium - Short-haired cats and small dogs
• High - Long-haired cats, large dogs and doorway training
