The PetSafe ScatMat is a low-voltage, automatic indoor pet training mat you can place any where you don't want your pet. This mat is easy to use. Simply insert the 9-volt battery (not included) into the provided power pack, snap it onto the mat and turn the power on. When your pet tries to walk across the ScatMat to the forbidden area, he or she will receive a correction equivalent to static build-up. Soon your pet will correlate the static correction with the prohibited area and stay away. There is even an activity indicator to show how many times your pet has activated the mat. One 9-volt battery lasts approximately 6 months or 10,000 activations. A wall adapter and ScatMat extension are available separately.
