The PetSafe Large Pawz Away™ Mat is a translucent mat that discourages your cat or dog from behaviors that do not please you. The Pawz Away™ Mat is lightweight, portable, and easy to use. Simply lay the mat in front of doorways, on furniture, countertops, window sills or any other area you prefer your pet to stay away from. The mat has 3 correction options, including: Tone only, Stimulation only, and Tone & Stimulation. If you set the controls to one of the Stimulation options, when your pet steps on the mat to cross into a room or lay on the couch, he will get a static sensation, similar to what you get when you drag your feet across carpet. This shock will not harm your pet, but startle him. Soon your pet will learn that area is off limits. The controller uses a 9-volt battery (not included), and has an indicator when the battery is running low. The PetSafe Large Pawz Away™ Mat is 24" x 48" and is intended for indoor use only. This mat carries a one year warranty.
