The PetSafe Wireless Dog Fence is a revolutionary new concept that provides the safest, simplest form of pet containment ever. You plug in the PetSafe wireless dog fence transmitter somewhere inconspicuously in your home. The PetSafe wireless dog fence transmitter emits a radio signal around your home. Your pet wears a lightweight PetSafe wireless fence receiver collar which listens for the signal. While it's receiving the signal, your dog is free to run and play. When your dog approaches the boundary of the PetSafe wireless dog fence signal area, it receives a warning beep. If your dog continues outside the boundary of the wireless dog fence signal, it receives a light static energy pulse which is startling but not harmful. With a little training that is simple and quick, your pet quickly learns its wireless dog fence boundaries. Setting the boundaries of your yard takes only a few minutes by adjusting the range on the PetSafe wireless dog fence transmitter, from a radius of just a few feet to up to 90 feet. If you wish, you can add a second transmitter to overlap the boundaries and extend the protected "safe zone" range of your wireless fence up to a length of nearly 330 feet!

The PetSafe wireless dog fence transmitter plugs into any standard 110 volt outlet. Since the signal can transmit reliably through walls or other household obstructions, it can be placed in any convenient and discreet location in your house, home, garage, or tool shed. A small dial allows you to adjust the wireless fence signal area. Once you have adjusted the signal to the perimeter you want, mark the boundary by placing the training flags at the edge of the signal area. Training is simple and easy.

The PIF-300 PetSafe Wireless Instant Fence works best in yards that are relatively flat. The system will not work well if a drop-off or steep slope is a part of the contained area. Please give careful consideration to whether the PetSafe Wireless Dog Fence is appropriate for your yard before placing an order.

This system offers the largest wireless dog fence area available, PLUS you can add on! The signal field is adjustable from a 15 to 90 foot radius from the transmitter (30 to 180 foot diameter). The shape of the signal is in a perfect circle - the shape cannot be altered. The range of the PetSafe Instant Fence can be increased by using two or more transmitters. This creates multiple intersecting circles; two instant fence transmitters would create a boundary in a shape similar to the MasterCard™ logo, a figure 8. The signal covers the area where the circles intersect, allowing the pet access to the entire area. The PetSafe Instant fence transmitters can be located a maximum of 150 feet apart and each PetSafe instant fence transmitter must be out of the weather; they cannot get wet. An additional wireless dog fence transmitter will create a boundary that is up to 180 feet wide and up to 230 feet long.
