This model is so much more superior to the new model, which in my opinion is junk. Pet smart only carries the new replacement flaps, make sure you examine the new flap before making your purchase it will save you a trip back to get your refund.

Most people I know can't imagine how we go out for extended periods of time and not let the dogs out! LOL! This is a GREAT piece of mind, my 3 dogs enjoy the option to come and go as they please! My sisters dog lived here for a year and actually warped the small panel on the door!?? She thinks she's a small dog so the replacement was a welcome event!

I bought my PetSafe dog door several years ago, and was disappointed to discover the replacement flaps were no longer sold at my local PetSmart. Finding the product here saved me from having to purchase and install a new door. Just make sure you take out the old flap and check the plastic pattern at the top matches the product illustration. The dimensions in the product description are only approximations - the actual width is almost 8 3/8 inches, which is the correct size.

After much searching, in stores and on the internet, we were truly happy to find such a great product at a great price! It was easy to install and was a perfect fit. Kept us from having to buy a completely new dog door. The product and this site both deserve a 5-star rating!
