Snuggles
November 2009 Pet of the Month Winner
Snuggles is one of 3 rescued cats that we live with. She is the youngest at 10 years and the smallest (10 pounds) of the three and she has always been very timid. Her primary talent is mousing. She sits in our backyard for endless hours scoping out what must be a nest in the neighbor's yard, waiting until just the right moment to grab one unsuspecting critter and bring it in the house! She doesn't kill them, rather, she just likes to chase and play with them. Our other cats just sit and watch not really knowing what to do! One night a mouse she brought inside hid under a bookcase, and when we weren't looking, it scooted out and started running through the house; we finally caught the little guy and carried it back to the yard where it could re-join it's family.

Snuggles also has several other names that represent her other secondary talents: "Snuggley-Woogums, girly-girl, mouser, duster, jumper, bird watcher, whiner". She is polydactyl which makes her little paws almost look like little human hands and she can use her "hands" to grab and hold toys with ease. She is our very special kitty.
