My electric dog fence transmitter had been ruined by lighting three times before I bought the best surge protector in the business. We had a very hot electrical storm with no damage of any kind to the 2500 feet of underground dog fence, transmitter, or surge protector. Very good product for this application.

This lightning protector kept us from having to buy a new transmitter and possibly wire. Our system got hit by lightning and the surge protector took the hit, leaving my transmitter and wire untouched. My transmitter is fine but man is the surge protector burnt!
