The electronic dog door simply unlocks whenever your pet nears the door and automatically re-locks after the pet has entered or exited. The range on the Electronic Dog SmartDoor is adjustable up to three feet.

DOOR OPERATES AS ADVIERTISED, CLOSING RATE A LITTLE SLOW. WOULD LIKE A DC INPUTE JACK TO ELIMINATE BATTERIES.

I really like the door except the back of the door that goes to the outside is really ugly. I will have to build a frame around that, and no tunnel to go through a house. I would be nice if they made sizes to go through the door, and through the house.
