PetSafe PF5-11 5-Meal Pet Feeder This feeder works great. We are able to go away for a few days and leave food for our 2 cats timed so the food is available when they usually are fed. It would be better if the feeder's overall size was a little smaller, and didn't make as much noise as it does. Our cats ran and hid from the noise when it moved to the compartment with food when we first tested it out to make sure it worked. Not that it's a loud noise, but the "whirring" noise it makes when the compartment moves sent them running to hide.

We ordered this feeder due to a cat that likes to eat a little too much! When we would leave even overnight, he would eat all of the food as soon as we would leave and get sick. Now, we can leave for the weekend and not have to worry - as he only eats twice a day anyway! It works so well, and there is no way for him to get to the extra food, as I read was a problem with many automatic feeders. It really gives us peace of mind and we love it!

I never bother to write reviews, but cannot say enough positive things about this food dispenser. My dog has an insulinoma (a tumor that causes low blood sugar and high insulin), and she needs to eat very frequently. I keep three machines side by side so that I can feed her every 75 minutes and be out of the house much of the day. This product has saved her life and my sanity. I used to run home every three hours to feed her or I’d have to pay someone to come and feed her. Gingersnap loves her "vending machine" and growls if our other dog gets close to it. When she hears the whir of the machine, she goes running to it! The inventor deserves an award.

I have had this dish for 3 years and it has been great. Never need to worry if you aren’t home. My dog loves it. Can’t be without!
