The Mars Veterinary Wisdom Panel Dog DNA Test allows you to determine the ancestry of your dog while in the comfort of your own home. All you have to do is collect a sample of DNA from inside your dog's cheek with the bristle brush cheek swabs provided, mail the swabs and collection form to the Mars Veterinary Lab, and within four weeks, you'll receive an email with the results.

The results sheet includes the significant (at least 50%), intermediate (at least 25%) and minor (at least 12.5%) breeds detected along with an explanation of how your dog's lineage affects his or her physical and behavioral traits. Knowing the ancestry will help you take better care of your dog. You will be able to address any special dietary needs, as well as become aware of any potential health or developmental issues, which will allow you to take the necessary precautions.
