How Underground Fencing Works:
The Transmitter plugs into a standard outlet and emits a radio signal that travels along an underground wire. The lightweight receiver worn on your pet's collar picks up the radio signal and alerts him as he nears the underground boundary that you have customized for your yard. If he continues toward the boundary, he will receive a mild correction, similar to a static shock. Best of all, unlike traditional fences, cages, and chains, it's the one solution that can't be dug under, chewed through, or jumped over.

The maintenance free design and ease of installation offers tremendous savings compared to conventional fencing and other systems of this type. The transmitters, receivers, and power adapters are UL Approved.

Installation is simple: bury the boundary wire, attach it to a transmitter plugged into a standard wall outlet, put the receiver on the dog and train for a short time and that's it! When the dog tries to cross the boundary, a signal is sent to deliver a harmless correction through the receiver collar to discourage crossing the boundary. In just a short time, your pet learns to stay safely within the invisible boundary where YOU want!

Bury the boundary wire underground approximately 3-4 inches deep OR in areas with little traffic, the wire can be placed on the top of the ground and held in place with sod staples. Using your own design, you can protect your flower and seedbeds, shrubs, trees and even swimming pools.

Wire Options For Underground Fences

Our underground fence systems have two wire options, a standard 20 gauge stranded copper wire for typical installations or a PROFESSIONAL GRADE 18 gauge heavy-duty, heavy jacketed, single strand thicker wire for added strength and reliability! If you are interested in our PROFESSIONAL GRADE heavy duty wire upgrade, look for models with the black wire spool in the picture or a "Heavy-Duty Wire" description.

We recommend using the wire upgrade if you are installing above ground or in rocky soil, have a lot of fast growing tree roots or just want the added security of an extra heavy duty wire. Our PROFESSIONAL GRADE heavy duty 18 gauge single strand copper wire is a specialty product and cannot be found in pet or hardware stores.
