The transmitter has a battery back-up and an audible and visual wire break alarm. The battery back-up requires 6 AA batteries that are not included and protects your pet even when the power goes off. The 500 feet of boundary wire is enough to protect up to 1/2 acre. Two wire splices are included with the system.The system is capable of covering up to 25 acres with additional wire purchased separately.

The system features patented Run-Through prevention that increases the correction as your pet nears the boundary. A safety shut-off will stop constant corrections should your pet get stuck in the boundary area. An early warning tone alerts your pet before a correction is delivered to give the opportunity to stay away from the boundary. Boundary self-check displays system and collar status 24/7.
