Have you rescued a dog but unsure of its breed? Does your dog look like one breed of dog but acts like another? Are you tired of calling your dog a "mutt"? With the BioPet DNA Breed Identification kit, you can perform the dog DNA test right in your own home. As with human DNA testing, dog DNA testing will show you what breeds are in your dog's ancestry. Although knowing the breeds that make up your pet's genes is great for bragging rights, having a canine DNA test done will also give you a better understanding of your dog's behavior, his personality and what, if any, possible health risks may come in the future.

The Canine DNA testing is easy and safe for your pet, and can be done at home. Simply swab the inside of your dog's cheek with both of the enclosed DNA collection swabs. Rub the applicator firmly against your dog's cheek for 10 seconds. This DNA test is cell-based, so the longer and firmer you rub the swab, the better the cell collection. Let both swabs air dry for at least 30 minutes before returning it to the paper sleeve.

Once you have good sample, send it, along with the Customer Information Card in the enclosed prepaid envelope to BioPet Vet Lab. You will have the results of your dog DNA test in approximately 2 weeks from when they receive your test. Your dog's Ancestry Analysis Certificate from BioPet will have all the breeds that exist in your dog's DNA from the most prevalent to the least. The high quality certificate is suited for framing.

In addition to your dog's Ancestry Analysis Certificate you will receive a Breed behavior report, Health and Personality Summary and a DNA ID Card. The dog DNA test summary report you will receive from BioVet will detail certain character and health traits to expect from your breed of dog. The BioPet dog DNA ID Card can be used as a permanent identification tool for your dog.

So what are you waiting for? Your dog is more than just a "mutt", you could have a "champion of mixed breeds"! Get your doggie DNA tested today!
